It serves over 20,000 residents living in the city of BRF and the villages and/or townships of Melrose, Franklin, Irving, Manchester, Millston, Springfield, Albion, Brockway, Curran, Hixton, Alma, Alma Center, Adams, Komensky, City Point, Garden Valley, Merrillan, Hatfield, Dewhurst and Mentor.      On a Sunday morning in March of 1860, a disastrous fire occurred in Black River Falls (BRF). The entire business district burned down with the exception of three buildings.
