Ho-Chunk Nation (HCN) President Marlon WhiteEagle signs the memorandum of understanding between the HCN and the U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy May 10. The agreement protects Native American burial sites, historical grounds and resources located on the Fort McCoy installation land. The agreement was also signed by Col. Michael Poss (l). “The agreement reaffirms the army’s preserving, protection and serving the Native American lands of Fort McCoy,” shared Col. Poss. (See more photos on page 15.)

The David “Dubs” Young Memorial Deck at Skyline Golf Course is nearing completion and when the final touches are complete, a dedication will be held to honor Dubs’ passion for golf and seeing that others were given the opportunity to love it as much as he did. He was a coach and mentor, sharing with many his passion for golf. It was a beautiful spring morning April 21, as Black River Falls School District elementary students, staff and parents celebrated Walk to School Day.
