JODY PETERS

     Jody Dean Peters, 48, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Gundersen Health System peacefully with his family at his side.

     Jody was born Aug. 26, 1973, at Black River Memorial Hospital to Cecil and Alohoa Peters. He graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1992. Jody worked in maintenance, enjoyed working with his hands and was a good worker, making friends at his place of employment.

     Jody married Holly Peters on April 3, 1996. The two of them were inseparable as spouses and forever friends. They had two children, Mercedes and Carl Peters.

     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, listening to music and really enjoyed to be with his family and friends. Jody loved his animals. He will be remembered by many with his smile, mischievous eyes and contagious laugh. He was the person that would make everyone feel welcome and important, and make you laugh.

     Jody is survived by his wife, Holly (Tuschel) Peters; and two children, Mercedes and Carl; Father Cecil Peters; brother Troy Peters (Wanda) and sister Michele Moe (Donnie).

     He was preceded in death by his mother Alohoa Peters. 

     Jody was never one for sentiment or religion, but he will especially be remembered by the numerous stories of silly antics and funny sayings that came from him; you never really knew what to expect from him at times. He most likely is enjoying his time now with his favorite family members in Heaven and enjoying a drink with them. He will be greatly missed by many.

     Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton, WI. A luncheon will follow services at Kal’s Korner, Hixton.
