THOMAS J. PFEIFER

     Thomas J. Pfeifer, 87, of Union Grove, passed away at home Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

     Tom was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Black River Falls to August and Carrie (nee York) Pfeifer. His early life was spent in Black River Falls, where he graduated from Black River Falls High School, class of 1953. On Dec. 26, 1959, he was united in marriage to Violet Luscher in Curtiss, WI. Following marriage, they made their home in Kenosha, WI. Violet preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 1978. Tom was able to find love again, after meeting Shirley Molitor. They were joined in marriage July 24, 1988, in Las Vegas, NV. Shirley preceded him in death on April 17, 2018.

     Tom was a machinist by trade, working for and retiring from Snap-on. He was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and the Union Grove Lions Club. Tom was a member of the Kenosha and Racine Officials Association. He was a referee for football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed traveling, camping and watching sports, but most of all, he loved spending time with all of his family. His kids, grandkids and great-grandkids were his biggest joys.

     Tom is survived by his children, Ron (Debbie) Pfeifer, Karie Johnstone and Jim (Chris) Pfeifer. Survivors also include Mitch Molitor, Michael (Theresa) Molitor, Jeff (Leslie) Molitor and Greg (Heidi) Molitor; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Mary Lou (Jack) Blum.      He was preceded in death by his loving wives, Violet and Shirley.

     In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have donations sent to either St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.

     Mass of Christian burial for Tom will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday, Oct. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
