TIMOTHY JOSEPH GRONSKI

     Timothy Joseph Gronski, 70, of Hixton and formerly of Kenosha, WI, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. He was born April 19, 1953, in Superior, WI, to Peter and Regina (Kulas) Gronski. He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1971.

     He married Doreen Oppegard Jan. 21, 1977, in Kenosha WI. They lived in the Kenosha area for 33 years. He was employed by AMC/Chrysler where he worked for 34 years and retired in 2006. In 2005 they moved to rural Hixton where they built a new home. Tim was an avid bowler for many years in Kenosha. He also enjoyed helping others and hunting with his son.

     Tim is survived by his son, Timothy (Amanda) Gronski Jr. of Spencer; his grandson, Nathan Gronski of Spencer; granddaughters Alexis and Josie Tremelling; two sisters, Patricia Martineau, Superior, and Cynthia Gronski, Superior; and one brother, John (Rose) Gronski, Superior; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

     Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen; parents Peter and Regina; brothers Ronald and George; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gronski and Lynn Gronski; and one brother-in-law, Paul Martineau.

     Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 10, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Black River Falls, WI, and continue until the noon Mass of Christian Burial with Reverend Arivu Mariappan as celebrant. Funeral services will be followed by cremation with burial of ashes in Trinity Rest Cemetery, Hixton, at a later date.

     The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
