JACQUELINE J. “JACKIE” MADES
Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Mades, 87, of Edgerton, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Huntington Place, Janesville. She was born in Alma Center, WI, April 2, 1936, the daughter of the late Earl and Virginia (Wick) Ray and graduated from Hixton High School in 1954. Jackie married Harold W. Mades Aug. 5, 1960, in Pigeon Falls, WI. They moved to Edgerton when Harold began working at JATCO. Jackie worked as a home health care aide for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Edgerton Outreach, reading, sewing and doing crafts. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; three children, Ann Anderson of Janesville, Dan (Kathy) Mades of Janesville and Frederick (Heidi Kelly) Mades of Waukesha; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Taylor, Kyle, Austin and Brendan; seven great-grandchildren, Chase, Ella, Hudson, Adley, Liam, Vincent, Wesley, with an eighth due soon; and her brother, Mike (Jean) Ray of Hixton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Allan Olson; and brother Gerald Ray.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, Edgerton, with Rev. Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will be in Rock River Cemetery. Visitation will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at St. John Lutheran Church.
