Dr. Constance Arlene Petrick

Dr. Constance Arlene Petrick
Dr. Constance Arlene Petrick, beloved sister and cherished friend, passed away April 17, 2024, at the age of 70. Born June 23, 1953, in Eau Claire, WI, Connie was the second of eight children born to Arlene and John Petrick.
Connie’s journey began in northwest Wisconsin, where she graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1971. She continued on to the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire before eventually graduating as an MD from the University of Wisconsin in 1979.
Throughout her life, Connie’s medical practice brought her all across the country, from the rugged landscapes of Alaska to the shores of South Carolina and many places in between. Connie’s last professional endeavor prior to retirement was working as an occupational physician at Amoco Oil in Texas. Connie enjoyed being a hobby rancher and had wonderful memories of her cattle and land. Beyond her professional endeavors, Connie had innumerable passions and talents. She was celebrated as a dog breeder, achieving the prestigious honor of Best in Breed at the Westminster Dog Show. Her love for animals extended beyond the canine world, as she cared for several farm animals with the same tenderness and dedication.
An avid outdoorswoman, Connie seized every opportunity to explore nature’s wonders, often embarking on adventures with the friends and family she loved more than anything. On one occasion, Connie and her sister misjudged when their boat would be departing from Alaska. Upon arriving at the port, the sisters could only laugh as they saw the massive vessel out on the water, well on its way south. Connie’s zest for life brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She would live the last years of her life in Wisconsin, back in the place she called home. Her return to Wisconsin brought much joy through several home renovations, gardening and biking. Connie’s vast knowledge spanned numerous subjects, reflecting her belief that one’s education never truly ends.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Arlene and John Petrick, and her sister, Tonya Anderson.
She is survived by her sisters, Sally Fitzgerald, Corine Twin, Christine Lund Holtz, Laurel Riedel and Barb (Vern) Jesse; her brother, John (Dorothy) Petrick; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
