Steven Paul Jenson, 58, of Rice Lake passed away unexpectedly July 24, 2024. He was born June 4, 1966, in River Falls, WI, to Richard and Diane Kay (Peterson) Jenson. Steve joined the U.S. Army and proudly became a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.
Steve was a geologist and loved to share the various details he learned to those he loved and would listen. He was a kind-hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He loved to learn new things and made a point to stay up to date on the latest news and world events.
Steve never let the troubles or hardships of the world keep him down. He chose to look at them as opportunities to grow.
He is survived by his daughters Ashleigh Hakes and Melissa Beck; sons Zachary (Abby) Jenson and Damien Georgeson; granddaughter, Madison; ex-wife, Tina Jenson; and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Diane; grandson Connor; and son Troy Schulenberg.
Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake with Pastor Ben Kidder officiating and military honors accorded by the Rice Lake Veterans Center Honor Guard Visitation was from 11 a.m. to noon.
Skinner Funeral Home of Rice Lake is serving the family.
