DORIS JEAN STONE DECOLON 

     Doris Jean Stone DeColon, 90, of North Bend passed away peacefully Aug. 13, 2024, in her home.

     Doris was born April 7, 1934, to Tillman and Verna (Patterson) Stone in La Crosse, WI. On July 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, Jerry, at the Presbyterian Church in North Bend where she was a lifelong member.

     Doris enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, traveling and watching the Brewers. She loved her family unconditionally.

     Survivors are her children, Julie DeColon, Brad (Celia) DeColon and Lori (Allan) Stuhr, all of North Bend; her loving granddaughter, Haley (Don) Koehler; a step-grandson, Chet Tourville; two great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Carly Koehler; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents; her siblings, Russell Stone, Phyllis (Donovan) Hilton, Virginia (Lawrence) Spors and infant sister, Evelyn Stone.

     Funeral services for Doris will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 23, 2024, at the North Bend Presbyterian Church. A gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the North Bend ballpark where lunch will be served.

     A special thank you from Doris’ family to the Mayo Hospice team for their outstanding care and compassion in her final weeks.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
