KAREN LEAH AUGUSTINE
Karen Leah Augustine, 78, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Oct. 16, 2024. Born July 18, 1946, Karen was a loving mother, sister, daughter and a faithful wife, cherished for her boundless love and generosity.
Throughout her life, Karen touched the hearts of many, always reaching out with a card, a gift or a warm embrace, making a profound impact on everyone she met.
Karen spent many years in dedicated service to the clients of The Connection in Black River Falls, where she was well-known for her abiding love of the people there. Her commitment extended to her spiritual life at Community Christian Church in Black River Falls, WI, a church that she was a seminal member of. Later, having moved to Johnson City, she worshipped at Crosslife Church to continue her compassionate service.
Aside from her professional and spiritual contributions, Karen found joy in crocheting, a hobby she pursued until it was no longer possible due to her health. Her ability to brighten any room and uplift spirits was unmatched, and her legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her brother, Raymond McNulty; sister Kathy Thayer; and her children, J.R. (Paula, Devan, Charissa, Erin, Brianna), Brady (Jennifer, Jonah, Abigail, Benjamin), and Mitzi (Chad, Brennan, Afton, Havyn).
Memorial services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. Central and 7 p.m. Eastern time at Crosslife Church, 4 Wesley Ct., Johnson City, TN 37601.
Karen's life was a testament to the power of kindness and care, and she will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. But her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends who carry her love into a world that is so often filled with hate.
