ROBERT (BOB) BRIGGS

 

     Robert (Bob) Briggs, 40, of Cloquet, MN, formerly from Hixton, WI, passed away in his home June 27, 2025.

     He was born Oct. 27, 1984, to Thomas and Candise Briggs. He went to Lincoln High School and graduated in 2003.

     Bob was a caring and compassionate man that enjoyed helping others. This guided his career choices for many years as he advocated for others.

     He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sporting events and had an infectious love for wrestling. He was a massive collector of memorabilia. 

     His greatest joy in life was his family. His children were his world. 

     He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; mother-in-law Julie Leseman; grandparents Bernard and Sylvia Burnett and Howard and Eugena Briggs; aunt Linda Briggs; and godfather Dale Borreson.

     Bob is survived by his wife, Amanda, and their children, Kai and Nash; children Paisley, Bowdey and Duke, who he shares with former spouse, Karley; parents Candis (Todd) Swennes; sisters Rebecca Briggs and Mackenzie Knudtson; father-in-law John Leseman; sisters-in-law  Sarah (Cory) Laulunen and Molly White; aunts Julie (Delmer) Waughtal and Kathryn (Travis) Clapper; godson Payton Gebhardt; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and brothers for life Cal, Tyler, Nic and many more friends.

     Bob loved Lynyrd Skynard’s “Simple Man.” We are going to have a (Simple Man’s) gathering in his honor Aug. 9, 2025, at 12 p.m. in Gile Park in Merrillan, WI. Please bring your stories and lawn chair.
