MEGAN MARIE JACOBS

MEGAN MARIE JACOBS
Megan Marie Jacobs, 33, of Humbird, WI, passed away Thursday June 12, 2025. Born Aug. 1, 1991 in Black River Falls, WI, Megan was the beloved daughter of Peter Jacobs and Mary Beth White-Jacobs. Megan was the loving mother to her daughters, Amara Marie (11) and Nova Kimberly (4), whom she cherished deeply.
Megan graduated from Lincoln High School in 2009 and over her life lived in Eau Claire and Humbird, WI.
Known for her kind heart and endless compassion, Megan frequently went out of her way to help others in need, leaving lasting impressions with those fortunate enough to cross her path. She was the first to step up to care for her Grandma Mary, allowing her to stay in her home until her death at 101 years of age.
Megan loved animals, especially horses. She was a very active member of the 4-H Horse Project in Jackson County, participating in nine county fairs. She and several of the other horse project members had the opportunity to participate in clinics during the Midwest Horse Fair with renowned trainer Julie Goodnight. Her horses, Sunny, Zinger and Potter, were her heart-horses and she went on to win with them at the district and state levels. She and Zinger were members of the Jackson County Drill Team for several years. She loved all those years in the horse project as much as her mother did. Horsing around together was a highlight of their relationship.
Megan worked at several local businesses, including the Osse Family Restaurant, My Second Home and Hillbilly’s in Pigeon Falls, serving as a bartender, waitress and cook. She liked cooking the best, taking after her grandmother, Betty White. At the time of her death, she had started a new job working as a cook at the Skyline Golf Course in Black River Falls and was enjoying meeting some new friends.
Megan was an artist at heart and shared this love with her daughters. Her grandmother, Mary Jacobs, passed down this passion to her.
Megan is survived by her loving parents, Peter D. Jacobs and Mary Beth White-Jacobs; her beautiful daughters, Amara Marie and Nova Kimberly; her brothers, Michael (Maggie Smith, Elizabeth, Caleb and Lydia) Jacobs, Eau Claire, WI, Cory (Bethany Hall) Jacobs, Minneapolis, MN; maternal aunts and uncles Douglas (Nancy) White, Lake Forest, CA, Jennifer (Tim) Adams, Lakemoor, IL, Brian (Dawnn) Taylor) White, Ray, MN, Jeff (Susan) White, Bartow, GA; paternal aunts and uncles Scott (Maria Shea) Jacobs, Prescott, WI, Beth Jacobs, Menomonie, WI, Jeff (Cathy) Jacobs, Menomonie, WI, and Connar Jacobs, Humbird, WI.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harold “Jake” and Mary Jacobs, and maternal grandparents Robert and Betty White, who were all very close to Megan.
The celebration of Megan’s life for family and friends will be at the family farm she loved, N3418 Fairview Ave., Humbird, on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m.
