Sandra June Hill

Sandra June Hill, 63 of Chetek, passed away Nov. 4, 2025, at Meadowbrook in Chetek, WI. 

She was born Aug. 28, 1962, in Beloit, WI, to Betty and Vernon Hill Sr. Sandra attended and graduated from high school in Beloit. She worked at the Pines Hotel, Burger King and then McDonald’s for over 10 years. On Aug. 30, 1980, Sandra married Richard Johnson; they later divorced in 1997, but had four children together.

Sandra had many hobbies, she loved walking and would walk EVERYWHERE, played tennis, loved listening to music and singing karaoke, playing bingo and spending time with her family. 

She will always be remembered for her goofiness, stubbornness and bullheadedness, for loving her family and many friends with a kind heart. She was always fashionably late! Sandra was also like a second mother to her nieces and nephews. Her family gave her many nicknames throughout her life, including Bandit, Scruff and Big Bear.

Sandra is survived by her children, Andrew Johnson, Nicholas (Ashley) Johnson, Kasey (Nick) Kirschner and Zachary Johnson; sister Barb (Tony) Burlingame; brothers Juno Hill (Shan Trussoni) and Richard (Jen) Hill; 11 grandchildren, Cody, McKenzie, Trenton, Emerald, Corbin, Jason, Trey, Blake, Rozelynn, Bryce and Hayden; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Vernon Sr. and Betty Hill; brother Timothy Hill; sister Cindy Hill; niece Brandi Burlingame; and great-nephew Caleb Burlingame.

Memorial services for Sandra will be held Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at 3 p.m. from the Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls. Friends may call during visitation from 1 p.m. until the start of services. Following the service, Sandra will be interred in the Hatfield Cemetery.
