Isaac Cody Pettibone, “Aahuxoc” (Greywing)
Isaac Cody Pettibone, “Aahuxoc” (Greywing), 31, of Black River Falls, WI, died Nov. 28, 2025, at the Gundersen Lutheran Health System after a battle with cancer. He was born June 4, 1994, in Black River Falls, WI, to Virgil and Lori Pettibone.
A proud graduate of Black River Falls High School in the class of 2012, Isaac went on to pursue his passion for mechanics at Western Technical College, where he earned a degree as an automotive technician. His hands-on skills and curiosity led him through a diverse and hardworking career path. Over the years, he worked at Home Depot, a cranberry marsh operation, practiced carpentry and applied his talents as a mechanic—truly a jack of all trades.
Isaac’s life was filled with movement and joy. He had a deep love for sports and games of all kinds—basketball, volleyball, golf, darts, pool, swimming, bowling and frisbee golf. In quieter times—or sometimes not so quiet—he found joy in cooking and baking for others and fishing. He’ll be remembered for quoting his favorite movies and for his love of hot dogs. Isaac had a knack for making people laugh with his quick wit and infectious humor. He was always willing to help others without hesitation. His generosity extended especially to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Whether through playful teasing or heartfelt support, Isaac made sure they knew how much they meant to him. Isaac’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him—for his laughter that filled rooms, his readiness to lend a hand or share a joke and the warmth he brought into everyday life.
Isaac is survived by his parents, Virgil and Lori Pettibone; brothers Virgil Pettibone, Henry Pettibone, Waylon Pettibone and Patrick Houghton Sr.; sisters Marie Taylor, Toni Pettibone, Dana Pettibone, Tianna Pettibone, Debreana Pettibone and Trevonna Rave; significant other, Zyanna Deloney; goddaughter Rainna Vidana; stepdaughter Abriana Casarez; his second mom, Anna Winneshiek; and special four-legged friend, Ollie.
