CHARLES W. WAUGHTAL SR.

Charles “Chuck” William Waughtal Sr., 86, of Black River Falls, died  Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in his home under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Chuck was born  July 19, 1939, in Black River Falls to George and Lucille (Leitz) Waughtal.  He graduated from the Black River Falls High School in 1958.  Chuck worked with his father at Waughtal Implement until his father’s death and then ran the business until his retirement in 2006.

Chuck married Marjorie Jean Johnson Aug. 31, 1963.  They lived in Black River Falls all their lives.  They raised their children, Jan and  Charles, on the family farm in the town of Brockway. Marjorie preceded Chuck in death Nov. 15, 2015.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Jan (Leonard) Olson of Black River Falls; a son, Charles (Christine) Waughtal of Marshfield; 10 grandchildren,nine  great-grandchildren, his brother, William; his sister, Pat Anderson; his brother-in-law, Edsel Johnson; many nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Joyce Moldenhauer.

In addition to his parents and wife, Chuck was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, Victor, Delmar, Jim, John and George Jr. and a sister, Sharon.

Burial will be in  Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls at a later date.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
