ELVA ODELLA LARSON
Elva Odella Larson, 92, passed away June 7, 2026, at the Dove Nursing Facility in Osseo, WI.
Elva was born to Olaf and Effie (Olson) Jacobson March 28, 1934, in Whitehall, WI. Elva graduated from Lincoln High School in Alma Center, WI.
Elva met Lyle Larson shortly after graduation while attending a local dance. The two were married July 9, 1955. Together, they raised four sons, Jon, Vernon, Gene and Richard.
Elva dedicated over 20 years to serving Jackson County as a deputy clerk of courts. Outside of work, she was a prominent member of the Northfield Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, loving to cook and always willing to entertain and feed a crowd. Her potato salad recipe was well-loved by family, as were her chocolate cake and blondie bars. She also enjoyed watching movies, especially Hallmark movies.
She is survived by her sons, Vernon (Sue) Larson, Gene (Shannon Berg) Larson and Richard (Sara) Larson; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Claudia Singleton.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lyle Larson; her son, Jon (Dawn) Larson; her infant son, Hal Vaun Larson; her parents; and her sister, Gail (Wayne) Nordick.
A funeral service was held Monday, June 15, at the Northfield Lutheran Church (N10750 County Road FF, Hixton, WI). Visitation began at 11 a.m. and continued until time of service at 1 p.m. Following the service, burial was held at the Upper Pigeon Creek Cemetery. All in attendance were invited to join the family for a luncheon at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northfield Lutheran Church, to the Dove Healthcare Activities Program, or to the Upper Pigeon Creek Cemetery Association.
