Donald Walter Pospisiel, 82, of Black River Falls, WI, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026.
He was born June 15, 1944, to Walter and Florence Pospisiel. He grew up in Sherry, WI, and attended school in Rudolph, WI. In his younger years, Don worked for AMPI Feed Mill. He then went on to work as a heavy equipment operator for the Jackson County Mining Company and worked on digging what is now Lake Wazee. He then moved on to work for Badger Mining before his retirement.
Don was married to Linda McMahon July 12, 1965, in Illinois. Together they made their home in Black River Falls and raised three children.
Don was an outdoorsman all the way. He loved nothing more than sitting in his chair and watching all the wildlife go by. He also loved hunting, fishing and racing. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Laura (Randy) Roginski of Black River Falls and Lisa (Rick) Bolen of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Carol Lemay of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law Angie; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Pospisiel; son Dean Wayne Pospisiel; his parents; and sister Donna (Marvin) Panko.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, is assisting the family with arrangements.
