ALICE RAE EVENSON

Alice Rae Evenson, 102, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at Dove Healthcare in Osseo WI. surrounded by her family, loved ones and caregivers.
She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in North Bend WI, to Amos and Marion (McAdam) Brinker. She attended the Mill Creek Country School near North Bend. She attended high school in Black River Falls, graduating in 1938. She went on to St. Francis School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1941.
Alice Rae was united in marriage to Victor Evenson Sept. 5, 1942, at the Shamrock Union Church. They farmed in the Sunnyvale area for several years, then moved to Alma Center in 1951, where they managed Duane Hoffman’s dairy farm. Alice also worked for the Krohn Clinic for 25-plus years in the “Shot Room.”
Surviving Alice are her son, Allen (Alice) Evenson of Prosser WA.; and her daughter, Rozanne (Vincent) Ruzic of Hixton WI, and an extra son, Dave Hoffman, who was always thinking of her; six grandchildren, Scott (Leanne) Evenson and Jodi (Casey) Hofstad, both of Prosser WA., Pat (Carol) Ruzic, Sara (Richard) Larson, Katie (Charlie) Bue and Carla (Dan) Stetzer of the Alma Center/Hixton area; 12 great-grandchildren, Briston Stone, Ellie Evenson, Ashlynn and Kesten Hofstad, Bailey Larson, Victor and RaeAnn Ruzic, Kyra and Tanner Bue and Jay, Drew and Sean Stetzer.
Alice Rae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor; and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Stanley) Borchert.
A funeral service for Alice Rae will be this Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at 12 noon at Grace Lutheran Church, 200 W. Main St., in Alma Center, WI. Pastor David Shudy will officiate with burial immediately following in East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center. A luncheon/reception will follow the graveside services. Friends may call on the family during a visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until noon prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests that memorials should be directed to the Grace Lutheran Church (parking lot project) or to the Alma Center Area Community Fund.
