ANN M. (BRAUNER) TREANOR
Ann M. (Brauner) Treanor, 67, of Holmen, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from a rare form of liver cancer. Ann was born Nov. 9, 1957, to Robert and Edith (Cole) Brauner at Sparta Hospital. She grew up on a dairy farm west of Black River Falls near Disco. Ann loved living in the country, picking flowers, exploring nature and helping on the farm.
Ann graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1975 and attended Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, receiving an associate degree in horticulture marketing. Ann started working at The Apple Tree Flower Shop in La Crescent in 1978 where she was a floral designer and worked there for many years. She enjoyed writing letters, stamp collecting and floral arranging.
Ann is survived by her husband, Billy Treanor Sr.; a sister, Mary (David) Rhatigan of Waukesha; nieces Amanda (Tom) Anderson of Waukesha, Liz (Thad) Harbaugh of Cedar Falls, IA, and Chrissy (Alex) McCullough of Marion, IA; nephew Michael (Ashley) Rhatigan of Livonia, MI; stepchildren, Terri Gentz and family, Tandra Bauman and family and Billy Treanor Jr. and family; and lifelong friends, Judy, Debbie, Marie and Julie.
A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held with burial in the Green Mound Cemetery, Holmen. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska is in charge of arrangements. Online guestbook is available at www.schumacher-kish.com.
