BETTY LOU ZIBOLSKI
Betty Lou Zibolski was born May 22, 1938, in Garden Valley, Alma Center, WI, to George and Edna (Heineck) Garbers. Betty passed away July 1, 2024, at the age of 86 in Altoona, WI. Betty graduated from Alma Center High School in 1956. She married Ted Bangart May 25, 1957, and they had four children, Ron, Judi, Rick and Rob. Betty later married Jared “Zip” Zibolski Feb. 24, 1968.
Early in life, Betty enjoyed competitive bowling across the U.S., going to the races and polka dancing. Betty’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, Betty provided in-home care to over 50 children in the community. Her kindness and generosity impacted the lives of many.
Betty is survived by her sons, Ron Bangart of Black River Falls, Rick Bangart of Merrillan and Rob (Suzette) Bangart of Ringle, WI; six grandchildren, Sam and Jessica Slagle, Dustin Bangart, Robbie Bangart, Hannah (Cody) Fritz and Rebecca (Travis) Unertl; six great-grandchildren; and sister Beverly. She also leaves behind her cherished friends, Jordy Miles and Courtney Hilts.
Betty was preceded in death by daughter, Judi; husband Jared; brothers Leo, George, Fred (Fritz), Raymond and Carl; and sisters Irene, Marie, and Margaret.
Betty was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of service with a luncheon to follow.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Grace Lutheran – River Pines Skilled Nursing Facility in Altoona and Heartland Hospice of Eau Claire, specifically Missy and Erica, for the compassionate care and support they provided Betty. The Buswell Funeral Home, located in Black River Falls, WI, is assisting the family with arrangements. Betty’s life and legacy will be celebrated by all those she touched with her care and devotion.
