It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brandon McCormick on June 28, 2023. Brandon was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be missed immensely.
Brandon was born Jan. 6, 1982, in Black River Falls to Cynthia McCormick and Brian Peterson. Brandon went to high school at Black River Falls High School and later attended Western Wisconsin Technical College. When Brandon was younger, he enjoyed soccer, snowboarding and rollerblading. Brandon later enjoyed cooking, disc golf, listening to music by Primus and playing bass guitar. Brandon’s greatest joy of all was spending time with his 14-year-old son, Ramsey. They enjoyed playing games like Sorry and Uno and spending time in the woods or creeks.
Brandon is survived by son Ramsey; mother Cynthia McCormick; father Brian Peterson; and brothers Travis and Ryan (Alison) McCormick. He was the proud uncle of Ella, Ava and Theodore McCormick. Brandon was also survived by his grandmother, Grace Ann McCormick; aunts and uncles Teresa (Tom) Teeples, Christy LeBelle, Jim (Rhoda) McCormick, Monica (Steve) Dykstra and Brooke (Victoria) Peterson as well as cousins Jason Ott, Tyrone Teeples, Jessica McCormick, Vanessa McCormick, Amber (Justin) Guzman, Brittany (Nathan) Perner, Max Cormican, Thomas, Adam, Rebecca, Megan and Sam Peterson, and Leah (Scott) Olson.
Brandon is proceeded in death by grandparents Claire Jr. McCormick and Donna and Lamoine Peterson; uncles Bruce/Pete Peterson, Brent Peterson, Gordy McCormick, Rick LeBelle and Steven Ott; and cousins Tony Teeples and Adam McCormick.
Visitation was held Friday, July 7, 2023, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m.
