CAROL ANN MABRY

     Carol Ann Mabry, 70, of North Las Vegas, NV, passed away March, 14 2024, at her home under the care of hospice and surrounded by her family. Her loss has left her family profoundly saddened.

     Carol was born June 20, 1953, to Gerald and Betty Eddy in Great Falls, MT. She was the oldest of five children: Brothers – Randy Eddy (Mary), Jerry Eddy (Rose), Jay Eddy (Kathy) and Sister, Janet Eddy (Margea).

     Carol graduated from Black River Falls, Senior High School in 1971. She married her first husband Bradley Peterson and they shared two children Amy (Gronski) and Jamie (Siegart). Carol and Brad owned and operated a retail TV and Stereo business in Sparta, WI, for a number of years. Carol was very active in Sparta Jaycettes serving as both secretary and president. They ended their business and then moved to El Paso TX.

     After the dissolution of her first marriage, Carol met and then married her current husband, James Mabry, June 22, 1984. Together, they formed an endearing, strong and loving relationship for which they both celebrated every day and promised to continue beyond Carol’s passing. Carol and Jim had one child together, a son, James Christopher (Chris) Mabry.

     Carol and Jim lived in Alpharetta, GA, and participated in public service there as deacons of the Presbyterian Church of Alpharetta to include volunteering in the Meals on Wheels program. After a few years, they moved to Minneapolis, MN, to pursue other career choices and be closer to family. They remained in Minneapolis through 2023, at which time they moved to North Las Vegas NV, to once again be close to family, as Carol became aware of her serious health concerns.

     Carol enjoyed bowling, writing a book, cooking and poetry, even becoming a member of The National Poets Society, where she received recognition for a submission. Carol was especially fond of gardening and spent a great deal of time in her later years perfecting her hobby.

     Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Eddy, in 2006. 

     She is survived by her father, Jerry Eddy; all of her siblings; her husband, James Mabry; her children, Amy (David Cassem), Jamie Seigert (Mike) and James Christopher (Becky; four grandchildren, Ariel (Peter Ives), Sophia Siegert, Noah Mabry, and Madison Mabry; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Skylar and Peter Hunter

     The family will grieve privately, but appreciates all expressions of sympathy and prayers for comfort offered by those who knew Carol. God Bless her soul.
