CAROLINE OLSON

     Caroline Jean Olson passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Black River Falls to Victor and Wanda (Cora) Bue.

     Caroline grew up on her family farm in rural Black River Falls and married Gary Olson in August of 1952. They had four children, Hames, Brenda, Duane and Vicki. She worked for C&H Tru Gas as a secretary until her retirement and also sold real estate for many years.

     She loved helping others and creating beautiful things. She was a member of the Karner Blue Garden Club and helped create many of the gardens in Black River Falls. She also had beautiful gardens at her home. She was an artist and enjoyed creating various types of art and sharing it with her family and friends She was active in her church serving in many capacities, including alter guild. She was the founder of Project Christmas and was very proud of how the community embraced that project with her.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary; sisters Marcella Johnson and Helen Bue; brother Raymond Bue; and grandson Adam Zuehlke.

     She is survived by her children James (Dawn) Olson, Brenda (Mark) Zuehlke, Duane (Rose) Olson and Vicki (David) Hermann; grandchildren Amanda (Tom) Sharp, Quentin Olson, Melanie Zuehlke, Aaron (Crystal) Zuehlke, Nathan Zuehlke, Wade (Arun) Olson, Justin Olson, April McHugh, Heather (Wade) Schuette and many great-grandchildren.

     Services will be held at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls, WI, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023. The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service at 1 p.m. and a lunch to follow.
