DARLENE JOY (FAUSKA) JOHNSON 

     Darlene Joy (Fauska) Johnson, 75, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at home surrounded by love. 

     She was born Aug. 6, 1949, to Robert and Aila (Schindler) Fauska at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sparta. She graduated from Royal High School in 1967.

     Darlene was baptized, confirmed and later married at St. Paul’s Church in Wilton, WI. In 1974, she married Clifford “Chief” Johnson. Together they had three children, April, Craig and Brad. They farmed side-by-side, instilling the love of the land in their children.

     She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brad.

     Darlene is survived by her husband, Clifford; daughter, April (Travis) Schnur and son Craig (Jeri Lynn) Johnson; grandchildren Jordan (Becky) Schnur, Miranda (Mark Upton) Schnur and Kaitlyn and Levi Johnson; step-grandchildren Avie and Bennett Stankey; great-grandchildren Vidalia, Adelida, Amos and Elvira Schnur, Birklee and Brian and Oaklee Ley; sister Ruth Ann Guy, along with many nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service for Darlene was held at 12 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Little Norway Church in Black River Falls. A visitation was held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

     Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
