DAVID O. OLSON

     David O. Olson (Pudge) sadly passed away Nov. 18, 2023, at the age of 79.

     Pudge was a graduate of Black River Falls High School. After high school, Pudge continued his lifelong work on the family’s dairy farm on CTH P. He retired from farming, but the love of the farm ran in his blood, and so daily trips to see the farm were a must.

     He met his wife, Nancy Larson in 1976, and they were married in 2007. Pudge and Nancy were best friends in life and love.

     Pudge was an avid trap shooter over the years, shooting with a variety of teams at the Black River Gun Club and at many field days. He shared his passion of shooting trap with his stepson, Dean. Along with his passion for gun collecting, Pudge loved to ride his Harley-Davidson. He enjoyed taking Sunday rides to different restaurants for breakfast and then a slow scenic ride home on his motorcycle. 

     Pudge’s honesty, hard work ethic and good humor will be missed by many.

     Survivors include his wife, Nancy; grandson Bryce; sister Madeline Stalsberg; nephews Matthew and Aaron Stalsberg; niece Miriam Bailey; and many other close family members.

     Pudge was preceded in death by his parents, stepson Dean Larson, and brother-in-law Glen Stalsberg.

     Services for David (Pudge) will be held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at the Family Worship Assembly in Black River Falls at 11 a.m. Pastor John Cowles will officiate. Friends and family are invited to visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
