Deborah Hopinka

     Deborah “Debbie” Kaye Hopinka, 58, of Black River Falls passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born July 27, 1963, to Chauncey and Maxine (Johnson) Hopinka in Wausau. Debbie loved to cook and bake, her favorite being fried bread, which she would typically say, “I really outdid myself this time,” each time she made it. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slots. Above all, Debbie loved the company of others and making them laugh, especially her grandchildren.

     Debbie is survived by her children, Keith (Micaela) Hopinka, Heather Hopinka and Kyle Hopinka; grandchildren Amelia, Penelope, Olivia, Kenyon, Kylene, Kaydin, Kassidy, Kira, Kandace, He-les-wv and Nognazi; significant other Paul Smith; her sister, Diane; and brothers Dennis and Dean, along with many other relatives and friends.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey and Maxine; son Leonard; and sisters Denise and Deanna.

     Funeral services for Debbie were held Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Indian Mission Community Building, W8813 Mission Road, at 11 a.m. Corwin Roth officiated. Friends and family were welcomed to visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.
