Deloris Novak

DELORIS NOVAK
Deloris Helen Novak passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2022, at the age of 91.
Deloris was the third child out of four, born to Clyde and Helen Reichenbach July 11, 1931. She attended Wrightsville Elementary School and Black River Falls Middle and High School in her younger years. After graduating high school, she married George Waller and had two sons, Gary and Richard Waller. Her second marriage to Arthur Gerber brought forth her youngest child, a daughter, Gale (Gerber) Mackey in 1959.
Deloris worked many different jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was being a CNA at Pine View Nursing home for 20-plus years. She loved being able to make a small difference in the lives of those she encountered there. She also loved bowling, which is how she met her third husband, Gerald Novak, of 15 years.
Gardening at her home was an activity that kept her busy. She loved being able to see all the hummingbirds that came to visit her gardens. Settling into the later part of her life, she reconnected with an old school friend, Earl Doud, who she would then spend the rest of her days with until his passing.
Deloris truly enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was an amazing woman with an incredible life and will be missed by all.
Surviving Deloris is her son, Richard Waller (Sonia); daughter Gale Mackey; along with 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Richenbach, mother Helen Reichenbach (Flick), brother Philipp Reichenbach, husband Arthur Gerber, brother Clayton Reichenbach, husband Gerald Novak, life partner Earl Doud, son Gary Waller, husband George Waller, son-in-law Barry Mackey, and sister Catherine (Reichenbach) Czap.
