DIANE STAVES

     Diane Staves, 74, of Eau Claire, passed away at Dove West June 16, 2025.

     Diane was born Oct. 12, 1950, to George and Mildred Staves. She was raised the majority of her life by her mother after her father passed when she was nine. She graduated from Alma Center High School in 1968. After graduating, Diane found her calling working for the State of Wisconsin, working as a secretary for more than 40 years and made many friends along the way. 

     Diane loved gardening, having a vast knowledge of nature and flowers. She loved her pets and enjoyed driving around the countryside, enjoying the scenery that Wisconsin had to offer. Diane loved to make food, specifically desserts; she never showed up to a gathering empty-handed. She loved watching television, the Beverly Hillbillies always seemed to be playing morning, noon or night. She also loved her family very much, always making sure flowers were put on the graves of her loved ones every Memorial Day.

     Diane was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dale, Jim and Orland Staves.

     She is survived by her two sons, Randy (Danielle) Krueger and Jeff Krueger; grandkids Ella, Jerri, Tatum and Brock; two sisters Peggy and Anita (Jake); and sisters-in-law Peggy and Renee. 

     A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona.
