DUANE A. FAAS

Duane A. Faas, 69, of Black River Falls died Thursday Oct. 24, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born Sept. 27, 1955, to Warren and Patricia (Hauser) Faas in La Crosse. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Following his naval service, he attended Western Technical College for auto mechanics. Over the years, he worked for Alan Cavadini, K-Mart and Menards. Duane enjoyed flying model planes and drones and working on cars. 

Survivors include a sister, Darlene Faas of Coon Valley; three brothers, Douglas Faas of Menomonie, Danny (Grace) Faas of Brice Prairie and David (Jennifer) Faas of La Crescent, MN; several cousins, nephews and a great-niece. 

He was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Diane Faas; and two brothers, Dennis and Daryl.

A private service will be held. Burial with military honors will be in the St. Joseph Ridge Catholic Cemetery, rural La Crosse. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
