GENE JOHNSON

     Today, we remember Gene Johnson, a remarkable and proud father of Justin and Angela; grandfather of Uriah, Eli and Nora; son of Victor and Betty Johnson; and a brother, uncle and friend to many. His presence in our lives was marked by unwavering love and support and a deep pride for his children and grandchildren. He was our humorous, storytelling Mr. Fix-It, always ready with a laugh, a long-winded tale or a handy solution. 

     Gene passed away peacefully at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, Jan. 14, 2024, a moment that coincided with his mother’s birthday, as if to be reunited in the afterlife.

     Gene proudly served in the army, and his commitment to serving others continued even after his military service through organ donation, a reflection of his giving nature. His willingness to help others, even when it meant giving his all, was a testament to his generous spirit.

     A private service will be held to honor Gene, with his final resting place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
