JAMES THOMAS STODDARD

     James Thomas Stoddard, 57, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away May 2, 2023, at his sister’s home in Fairchild, WI. He was born Nov. 12, 1965, in Neillsville, WI, to Wesley Stoddard Jr., and Bernice O’Brien. 

     James graduated from Alma Center Lincoln High School in 1985. He then went into the Army in 1985, serving in South Korea and after his return worked at the Ho- Chunk Casino for 17 years and then worked for Abby Vans out of Neillsville and Neillsville Taxi. He loved to hunt and fish.

     He is survived by his parents, Wesley E. Stoddard Jr. and Bernice O’Brien; sister, Lani Wetzel (Christopher); two brothers Ken Stoddard and Randy Stoddard (Rose Sebastian); along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many family members that loved him dearly.

     James is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Bernice and Wesley Stoddard Sr.; maternal grandparents, George and Perleen Madland; sister, Lori Olson; cousin Mark Johnson; cousin Debbie Johnson; cousin Amy Stoddard; great-nephew Porter Micheal Gage Montgomery; aunt Esther Gray; and uncle George Madland Sr.; along with many others. 

     Funeral services for James will take place Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Reverend Terry Marg will officiate. Friends and family are invited to visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately be followed at Riverside Cemetery.
