JANICE (LANG) BISE

     Janice Josephine (Lang) Bise, 74, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Jan. 16, 2024, at Gundersen Luthern Medical Center in La Crosse. 

     Jan was born Jan. 14, 1950, in Chicago, IL, to Alice Boyle and Frank Trecek. Jan married Thomas A. Lang in 1975. Together they had two sons, Brian and Eric Lang. Jan and Thomas moved to Black River Falls and farmed until his death in 1999. She then married Richard Bise in 2002, and the two lived in Sparta, WI, until his death in 2017. 

     After working for the Black River Falls School District for 20 years, Jan retired in 2016 and enjoyed every moment of retirement. She loved every moment she was able to spend with family, going to concerts and on trips with her friends, swimming, horseback riding and camping. 

     Jan is survived by her sons, Brian (Diane) Lang of Waupun, and Eric Lang (Lisa Burkhardt) of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren, Melissa (Brock) Vossekuil and Anthony (Karissa) Lang and her great-grandson, Wyatt, all of Waupun; and her sister, Karen (Jim) Walker of Gainsville, GA. 

     Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Trecek; grandparents Frank and Josephine Trecek; and her husbands, Thomas and Richard. 

     The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
