Jeanette enjoyed being a farmer’s wife and worked for a short time in the kitchen washing dishes at the Green Meadows Supper Club near Taylor, WI. A woman of warmth and quiet strength, Jeanette was known for her love of flowers, her baking, especially delicious chocolate chip cookies, the ability to defeat anyone at 500 Rummy, and her ability to make everyone feel like family. Her hobbies included embroidery and painting in which she took classes for. In her later years, she also enjoyed the adult coloring books.

She is survived by her four children: Harvey (Dorothy Stimart) Gilbertson, of Bagley, WI, Judy (late Bruce) Hunter of Black River Falls, WI, and Sara (Rick) Hubler of Humbird, WI, and Alan (Lori) Gilbertson, of Tomball, TX. She is also survived by her two sisters, Norma (LaVerne) Granlund of Janesville, WI, and Delores Greathouse of Noblesville, IN. Jeanette had 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Agnes, son John; her beloved husband, Hensel; brothers David and Orlin; sisters Mildred and Edna; and son-in-law Bruce.
