JOAN WAMPOLE

JOAN WAMPOLE

Joan Eileen Wampole, 60, passed away March 9, 2023, in Osseo. Joan was born Dec. 13, 1962, to Roy Ulness and Belva Ofte in Black River Falls, WI.

Joan loved her family, the outdoors and Sudoku. Joan was always out of doors, enjoying her yard work and her flower gardens. She loved to travel, whether it was Sunday drives and local area jaunts or going to Nelson’s for ice cream south of Durand on Route 35 or sight-seeing out west. She loved her trips out west, whether it was just her and John or with larger family gatherings, seeing the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, The Devil’s Tower, the Black Hills, Sioux Falls and Mount Rushmore and so much more. Joan enjoyed going out for dinner. She could spend hours visiting with her friends that came over or just on the phone. And Joan was a Sudoku Wiz even when others got hung up…she’d figure it out, always.

Joan is survived by her husband, John Wampole; sons Christopher and Curt Wampole; daughters Cheryl (Allen) Dahl and Michelle (Tim) Berger; sisters Donna (Dennis) Olson, Carol (Stanley Johnson) Ulness, Shirley (Al) Austad, Joyce (Mark) Wampole, Brenda (Scott) Melby and Karen (Paul) Chirart; and by grandchildren Christopher Jr., Zachery and Desiree Wampole, Mickayla Berger, Matthew Wampole, and Andrew and Ryan Dahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Roger Ulness and Darrell Ulness; and nephews Chad, Christopher and Jason.
