KATHRYNE BESKE
Kathryne K. Beske, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of the Warrens, WI community, passed away peacefully at home Aug. 26, 2023. Born Oct. 19, 1925, in Wisconsin, Kathryne’s life was marked by her loving nature, her steadfast kindness and her deep faith.
Kathryne was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bernice (Guderski) Kahl. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Garth Paul Beske, Nov. 15, 1952, in Markesan, WI. The couple initially made their home in Pardeeville and Markesan, before moving to Madison. In 1974, they settled in Warrens, where Kathryne resided until her passing. Together, Kathryne and Garth created a life filled with love and laughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Garth, and their daughter, Virginia Dukes.
Kathryne is survived by her children, Michael Beske of Warrens, Paul Beske of Madison, WI, and Loretta (Larry) Peplow of Boise, ID. She was a doting grandmother to David Dukes, Gage and Sarah Beske, and Rusty and Ryan Peplow. Kathryne’s family also includes her sister-in-law, Joan Bradley, and her niece, Stephanie (Steven) Bishop, along with their son, Cole. She was a beloved aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many others.
Throughout her life, Kathryne was deeply involved in her community. A talented organist, she played at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Warrens for over 30 years, sharing her love of music and her faith with all who attended. Her commitment to her faith was an inspiration to those around her and a cornerstone of her life.
Kathryne’s interests reflected her zest for life and her love of the outdoors. She enjoyed going boating, taking rides on the motorcycle and taking walks outdoors. Kathryne’s love of nature was only surpassed by her love for her family, who were the center of her world. Her home was always open, her table always welcoming and her heart always full of love.
Kathryne was a woman of exceptional kindness and love. She was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, her unwavering faith and her endless capacity for love. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In the words of those who knew her best, Kathryne was a loving, kind and faith-filled woman. She lived her life with grace and generosity, always putting others before herself. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends, and her legacy will live on in the lives of those she touched.
Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah. Monsignor David Kunz officiated. Burial will be held at a later date in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Tomah. Family and friends were invited for visitation Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
