KAY LOUISE PAAR
Kay Louise Paar, 84, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Oct. 3, 2025, at Our Town Nursing Facility in Tomah, WI.
Kay was born March 22, 1941, to Laura and Rolland Nortman in Black River Falls, WI. After high school, Kay worked in insurance sales. She married David Marg; they had five children and later divorced. Later in life, she married Gerald Paar Oct. 4, 1985, and they spent 30 wonderful years together.
Kay spent her free time in various organizations, such as the ladies’ church group, where she did funeral meal planning, the women’s auxiliary and the homemakers club. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and watering the flowers at the cemetery. She had a knack for antiques and enjoyed cooking and cheering on the Packers, but above all, being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents, Rolland and Laura; son, Jason; and grandson, Alec.
Kay is survived by her kids, John (Deborah) Marg, Steve (Shari) Marg, Christine (Tim) Lewis, Lisa (Mark) Muth and Shawn Johnson; grandkids Ashley (Dan) Stetzer, Danielle (Ryan) Castle, Jordyn (Jake) Dobbs, Samantha (Cody Bloczynski) Marg, Austin (Mike) Stagliano, Jocelyn (Brayden) Winn, Jacob Lewis, Erin (Gary) Hegeman and Stuart Johnson; great-grandkids Jayce, Aydan, Trey, Clayton, Gage, Paisley, Ty, Fallyn, Sterling Kay and Clark; siblings Carol Hanson and Fred Nortman; along with many other friends and family.
Funeral services for Kay will be Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Jenny Hatleli will officiate. Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
