LISA KAY AARAC-GEĮGA BRIDGES
Lisa Kay Aaracgeįga Bridges started her journey Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025. Lisa was the youngest of three beautiful daughters born to Candace Wiiragųšgeįga Cloud of Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Kevin Bridges of Eau Claire, WI, Sept. 27, 1989. Lisa loved crafts of all kinds, traveling, reading, time with family, but most of all, being Mom to her son Hudson Bird. She reveled in Hudson’s never-ending giggles, jokes, pranks and laughter, which were always abundant. She often said he was her life, her joy, and her happiness.
Nobody could love another like Lisa. She took great care in planning special events and visits – making custom gifts like ornaments, mementos, spa treatments, and handmade cards. Lisa celebrated loved ones by cooking for them and baking beautiful and tasty desserts. She always looked forward to Christmas cookie-making time, putting extra love and joy into shaping each cookie and adding thoughtful and precise decorations.
With her striking beauty and charming posture, Lisa often surprised others with her relentless witty humor. Lisa wove sarcasm, praise and pure love into her jokes and messages, always extending deep gratitude to those that touched her life. She was a kind, old soul, full of life and perspective. Lisa always looked for the light and good in every situation and prayed often for others.
Lisa attended South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, AZ, working towards her associates degree in business administration. She enjoyed sharing her Hocak culture in SMCC’s Native American Club.
Lisa is survived by her son, Hudson MaaNak Sucga Bird, and his father Leland Nacgepi Bird; sisters Kandace Mąąxisgaįga Bridges, Beth Keeracowįga Bridges, and Alex Hųųchinųkwįga Stacy, as well as Kaka Delphine (Blackcoon) Cloud. She is further survived by her parents, Cory and Samantha Ciinąkmąnįįga Skenandore; many Hocak brothers and sisters, Teegas Foster, Todd, Gene, Christopher, Arnold, and George Cloud, Teegas Jon-Jon Mąąšusgaga Greendeer, Marcus Greendeer and Jesse Blackdeer, Nąąnįs Kimberly and Diane Cloud, Nąąnįs Michelle Greendeer-Rave, Verna Blackdeer and Cherokee Greendeer; and beloved Hoocąk children Owen, Emmitt, Annalisa, Cambria, Jeffrey and Lyric.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Candace Wiiragųsgeįga Cloud; father Kevin Bridges; angel baby Serena Jessenia; grandparents Edward and Barbara Pond, Kaka Elena Maašu hakarapei Greendeer, Cooka George Greendeer, Cooka Harry Cloud, Nąąnį Cecelia “Sissy” Cloud and Nąąnį Cynthia Cooramįnąkwįga Cloud; and sister Rachel Wihą Greendeer, Little Teegas Wesley Cloud and Nąąnį Arnalda Cloud.
Traditional Hocak wake services were held at sunset Monday, Nov. 3, and Tuesday, Nov. 4, at W9264 Taintsville Rd., Black River Falls, WI.
Funeral services were officiated by Traditional Chief Clayton Winneshiek and were held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at Buswell Funeral Home,106 S. 2nd St, Black River Falls, WI 54615. Lisa’s final resting place will be Trempealeau Public Cemetery in Trempealeau, WI.
