Lois Margaret Becker, 79, of Blair passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, in Emplify Health in Whitehall.
Lois was born April 5, 1946, to Hubert and Norma (Olson) Hoagenson.
She had a life filled with family, friends, beloved pets and an active church life. Lois enjoyed reading, time with friends, baking and playing the piano and organ.
Lois grew up in the town of Irving, Jackson County, attended the one-room Irving school and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1964. She graduated from Winona Secretarial School in 1965 and went to work at Watkins Incorporated. Lois met Ray Becker on a double blind date while he was home on leave from the U.S. Navy. They wed in 1967. In 1970, they bought a farm in rural Taylor, where they farmed for 20 years.
Lois worked at the Taylor branch of Jackson County Bank for 30 years. She was organist at the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church in rural Taylor for over 40 years and played for services and funerals at several local churches, her last service being on the last night of her life.
Lois is survived by her children, Bradley (Tasha) Becker of Blair, Reggie Becker of Mount Pleasant, MI, and Carrie (Brian) Butler Becker of Eau Claire; grandchildren Aaron and Nathan Becker, Collin, Kyla (Austin Wood) and Madison (Ian Tucker) Goodbear, Kitrina (Justin) Burke, Ryan (Brandie) Butler and Bo Butler; sister Carol (Mark) Stenulson; brother Lester (Devery) Hoagenson and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray, Sept. 23, 2015; her sister, Ione Stokes; and her niece, Janel Robbins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church in rural Taylor, with visitation an hour and a-half prior. Pastor Elden Simonson will officiate. After a lunch, a short graveside service will be held at the Sechlerville Cemetery in rural Hixton.
The Jack Funeral Home in Blair assisted the family with arrangements.
