MARY M. (BALL) LUTHER

Mary M. (Ball) Luther, 69, passed away in her home in Black River Falls June 16, 2025 from a long battle with COPD.

Mary was a person who loved to have fun, socialize, and was always cooking, baking or sewing. She loved to play Tripoley when family from Beloit would visit. Mary loved holidays, she would make Christmas cookies and have a decorating day where kids and grandkids would decorate cookies and end up with everyone covered in frosting, making a huge mess but it was OK. She would dress up for Halloween, Christmas and always wore fitting earrings for whatever holiday was coming. She loved to fish and go out in the boat. She loved her coffee, and her family meant the world to her

Mary was born Oct. 8, 1955, to Duane and Louise (Phillips) Ball. She grew up in the Clinton area and moved to Black River Falls in junior high and graduated in 1973. She worked in restaurants most of her life (including the Rustic Mill) until becoming disabled.

Mary is survived by her children, Kristin Estebo, Carlin (Marty) Taber, and Quentin (RayeAnn Krpata) Ball; stepchildren Cheyne Haskins, Renee (Kevin) Schmidt, Lisa (Brower) Lockemy, Laura Brower and Heidi (Brower) Makishi; grandchildren Jewel Ball-Rochester, Kaitlyn Rupnow, Duston, Ariana and Joshuah Krpata-Ball; great-grand-children MarleyMay, Emberly, Riley Rivas and Dawson Krpata-Ball. A sister, Jeanette Shores; sister-in-law Carol Ball; nieces and nephews Carter (Vicky) Shores, Crystal (Bruce) Smith, Duane (Brenda) Shores, Michael, Mark Ball, Matt (Vicky) Ball, Brenda (Glen) Smith; and many more loving family members along with friends and extended family.

Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Brower and his son John Wayne Brower; her parents, Duane and Louise; and her brothers, Jim, Dennis, David and Arthur
