MILTON SMITH

     Milton S. Smith, 66, of Merrillan, WI, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born May 30, 1956, in Russell, NY, the son of Louise (Hull) and Milton Smith. He married Sandra Smith Feb. 2, 1980, in Sodus, NY.

     Milton graduated in 1974 from Herman/DeKalb High School in New York. He served in the United States Army, being honorably discharged in 1976. Milton retired from Regal Beloit Corporation after 22 years. He loved visiting with family and friends, NASCAR and his New York Yankees. He enjoyed BBQ’s at his home and looked forward to taking the train to upstate New York to visit his family every year.

     Milton cherished his children, grandchildren and will be missed by his cat, “Clyde.”

     Milton is survived by his daughters, LeSondra (Bradley) Pedersen, Shannon (Eric) Close and Michelle Howard; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Dean Smith and Bradford Smith; sisters Brenda Adams and Carol Mulvey; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters Barbara Glenn and infant sister Cynthia.

     A celebration of life for Milton will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in South Russell Cemetery in New York with military honors accorded.

     The Torgerson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
