ORLIN THOMAS SMITH

     Orlin Thomas Smith, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 9, 2024.

     Orlin was born Oct. 30, 1933, to Harry and Nina Jane Smith of Sechlerville, WI. Orlin attended Hixton Public Schools and graduated in 1951. Orlin enlisted in the United States Airforce and was detailed to the B52 squadron during the Korean War. While stationed at Dyess AFB in Tye, TX, he met and married Mary Frances Moore. They made their home in Wisconsin and Texas. They were married for 63 years until her death in 2021.

     Orlin is survived by son Daryle (Kathy); Suzette, Laura Lee (Coleman), Eugene (Stephanie); and sister Wilva Marshall; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Kody, Dylan, Rachel, Colten, Carlee, Jaegar and Lily; and five great-grandchildren.

     Orlin is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Nina; wife Mary Frances; brothers David, Glenn and Jim; and special brother-in-law George Marshall.

     A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Tye, TX. Donations in memory of Orlin can be made to Sechlerville Cemetery.
