PATRICIA GARDNER
Patricia A. Gardner, 93, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born Oct. 12, 1929, to Harold and Donna Tourville.
She attended and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1948. Her parents owned and operated the Tourville Drug Store in downtown Black River Falls, where she spent many hours working alongside her father. She attended secretarial school and then worked for the telephone company. She then went on to work for the Krohn Clinic in a variety of positions for many years before retirement.
Patricia married Edward C. Gardner in 1967. Along with Patricia’s children, they enjoyed many happy and memorable trips that included camping and skiing.
She was very active in her community volunteering her time and talents to various organizations, which included the Neighborhood Food Pantry, Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers and the nursing home. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Jackson County Homemakers. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary becoming an active lifetime member.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed many activities, which included roller skating, bowling, reading, playing cards, swimming with the morning mermaids, crocheting, cross stitching and ceramics. Her love of cooking and baking was enjoyed by her family and friends. During her retirement, Edward and Patricia enjoyed traveling.
Edward Gardner and Pat’s brother, Jack Tourville, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Doyle Gilbertson (Debbie); daughter Theresa Erbach (Rand); five grandchildren that include Jamie and Ryan Erbach and Jessie, Aaron and Crystal Gilbertson; and five great-grandchildren that include Rydder, Kanyon, Weston, Pearl and Chase.
Patricia had a strong love for all her pets over the years.
