PAUL S. WISNIEWSKI

     A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest.

     Paul S. Wisniewski, 63, lovingly known as Pauly, of Taylor, WI, passed away Nov. 9, 2023.

     Paul truly had a heart of gold. He was always willing to help others and gave generously. He loved his family and friends beyond measure and was treasured by each of them. 

     Paul was born Sept. 3, 1960, in Chicago, IL, to Thomas and Donna Wisniewski. He grew up near Lake Michigan and told of riding his bike to the lake for swimming and fishing. He graduated from Gage High School and soon after joined the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS John Marshall.

     Paul truly was a jack-of all-trades. Be it construction, electrical, plumbing, truck driving or just coming up with a solution to a problem, Paul could do it. He worked at various jobs throughout his life, but his final and favorite was working with Bob and the girls for the Village of Taylor doing maintenance work.

     Paul was a member of the Taylor Lutheran Church, served on the Taylor Fire Department and was a life member of the Taylor Rod N Gun where he served as Vice President for numerous years.

     Paul never lost his love for the water. His happy place was his cabin, where he could sit in his chair looking out over the lake, not to mention some pretty good fishing holes.

     Paul married Kathleen McKenna and together they had two children. They later divorced. He met and married the love of his life, Carol Matson-Johnson, and together they shared 17 years of marriage. Life was always an adventure with Paul.

     Paul is survived by his wife, Carol; children Daniel (Chelsea) and Nicole Wisniewski, Jacob Johnson and Misha (Jeremy) Shramek; grandchildren Cyra Bolterman and Haylli and Jayce Shramek. Also, by his sister, Lisa (Eric) Hopp; brother, David Wisniewski; nieces, Rachel and Maddie Hopp; aunt Barbara McGrath; and cousin John McGrath; brother in-law David (Tammy) Matson; and nephews Nolan, Neal and Logan Matson.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Donna; a brother, Mark; and his grandparents, Marie and Leo Dugan and Charlie and Ann Wisniewski.

     A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Taylor Rod and Gun Club, Taylor, WI. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with lunch and fellowship from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
