RICHARD C. SCHROEDER

     Richard C. Schroeder, 83, a Melrose, WI native, passed away Aug. 26, 2022 after a short illness. He was surrounded by his family and close friend.

       Richard was born March 12, 1939, to Richard and Dorothy (Heffernan) Schroeder Sr. 
     He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Ruth Jean.

     He was a nature-lover, a steward of the land and extremely talented artist in many mediums. He was a self-educated man who studied many topics of interest intently. He was particularly passionate about the development of hybrid orchids, wildlife, muskie fishing and hunting.

     A celebration of life was held Sept. 3, 2022, in Melrose, WI., He will be sadly missed by those who loved and appreciated him.
