RODNEY “ROD” LEE CONRADSON

Rodney “Rod” Lee Conradson, 67, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on Highway 12 in Black River Falls, WI, July 15, 2024.

He was born to William “Bill” and Nina (Roberts) Conradson in Beloit, WI, April 18, 1957. He later graduated from Beloit High School.

After graduation, the family relocated to Black River Falls, and on July 25, 1987, Rod married his true love, Mary Oelrich, at the Black River Falls Catholic Church. Rod and Mary would have celebrated their 37-year anniversary this July.

Shortly after moving to Black River Falls, Rod began his auto body career at Kislinger Auto Shop before later working for Wild’s, Joel Bement’s, and finally, Gary’s Auto Body. Rod was an incredibly talented auto body technician and often had customers ask specifically for him to work with their vehicles. Rod could take a rusty old car and make it look brand-new again.

Rod’s other talents included fishing and hunting and was also a boating and gun enthusiast. Known as “Rudnick” to his friends, he will be remembered for his kind-hearted spirit and heart of gold. Although Rod did not attend church, he was a devout man of God.

Rod is survived by his mother, Nina; his sister, Susan (Patrick) Kilwien; his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Conradson; his son, Matthew Conradson; and stepson Michael Savic; his nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Conradson.

A funeral service will be held at the Shamrock Union Church Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held an hour before the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Shamrock Union Cemetery immediately after. Following the committal service, everyone is invited to a luncheon provided by the church.
