Ronald R Kimball

Ronald R Kimball
Sunday, March 1, 2026, Ronald R Kimball, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away at the age of 75. He was born Aug. 9, 1950, to Robert and Louise (Schnick) Kimball in Whitehall, WI. He married Debra Kimball April 14, 1990, in Black River Falls, WI.
Ron was a strong member of the community, volunteering countless hours for the VFW and serving on the Jackson County Fair Board for many years. He was a soldier (Vietnam Veteran), firefighter and EMT at Fort McCoy. He loved being out in nature, whether it be hunting on his beloved farm or fishing anywhere he could drop a line. He had an amazing attention to detail, whether it be painting a Harley, laying out model trains, creating beautiful woodwork or cooking an amazing meal. That meal was always best when there was sweet corn (his favorite).
He loved to travel with his wife, Deb. They could be found catching a walleye on the St. Louis River, at a NASCAR race, relaxing somewhere in Mexico or sitting on the dock at the cabin up north. Ron was always up for an adventure, a great meal and a cocktail. He also loved the Green Bay Packers.
Ron was a true soldier, and in the over 10 years of life changes after his health issues, he never complained. He was a true inspiration and very much loved. The family would like to send out a huge thank you to all of the wonderful people who supported and helped Ron and the family through the years after his health issues.
Ron is survived by his children, Nathan (Abby) Simonson, Heather Aschenbrenner, Aaron (Kristina) Aschenbrenner and Ginger Aschenbrenner. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, whom he was very proud of, Austin, Caelee, Nicholas, Rhavyn, Nyah, Deven, Cartyr, Cayda, Coy, Samantha, Zayne and Azayra. He is also survived by his younger brother, Todd Kimball, his loving, devoted sister, LouAnn Blackdeer and his first cousin, Randy Schnick, who was more of a brother than a cousin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Kimball; father Robert “Bob” and mother Louise.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, 128 S. Hoffman Street, Hixton, with Pastor Greg Mandigo officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton is assisting the family with arrangements.
