SERENA KERSTING

     Serena Kay Kersting, 63, passed away Jan. 10, 2023. She was born Oct. 6, 1959, to Kenneth and Kayleen (Hermanson) Kersting in California.

     Serena attended school in both California and Wisconsin and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial in Eau Claire, WI. After graduation, she worked at Arrowhead Lodge, KFC and Ho-Chunk Nation Casino. She enjoyed caring for her two dogs, Pikachu and Spot, whom she loved dearly. She loved watching TV, scratch-off tickets and driving. She used to drive to Tomah nearly every night, as that was where her son, Vinnie, lived. 

     She is survived by her son, Vincent of Tomah, WI; sister Teresa of Phoenix, AZ; her special friends, caregivers; Aunt Rosalie “Rose” and Uncle Arlan “Herb” Hermanson of Black River Falls, WI; and Gene Hermanson of Madison, WI; and Shari Kidrick of Hereford, AZ.

     Serena is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Brian. 

     Funeral services for Serena will take place Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the Torgerson’s Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Reverend Terry Marg will officiate. Friends and family are invited to visitation from 1 p.m. until time of service.
