Stuart Blackdeer

     Stuart John Blackdeer, 60, of Black River Falls passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family March 11, 2022. 

     He was born to Clifford Blackdeer and Mary Blackhawk April 17, 1961, in Waterloo, IA. Stuart attended and graduated from high school there. He later moved to Black River Falls, where he worked doing maintenance at the casino.

     Stuart was a big sports buff and liked anything with the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, playing darts, listening to music and was overall a “fix-it” kind of guy. Above all, he loved spending time with his friends, family and his fur babies, Sybal and Linus.

     Stuart is survived by his sisters, Lisa Blackdeer, Carole Roberts, Eileen Blackdeer and Sharon Ornella; brother Clyde Blackdeer; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Kory, Christopher, Cody, Kelsey, Crystal, Colton, Randall II, Andrea, Amber, Michelle, Micky and JB; special friend, Carmen; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

     He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Armand, Randy, Clifford, Timothy and infant twin brother Steven Blackdeer; and nephew Klint Blackdeer. 

     A visitation for Stuart was held Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Buswell Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A burial at the Decorah Cemetery immediately followed with Clayton Winneshiek officiating.
