     Suzuyo Kobayashi Meinholdt, 91, (formerly of Merrillan, WI) passed away June 20, 2023, at Care Partners in Eau Claire, WI.

     Suzie was born July 25, 1931, in Tokyo, Japan. It is where she met Ted Meinholdt. He was stationed there while serving in the U.S. Army. They married in Tokyo, Japan, March 18, 1957, then moving to Colorado Springs, CO, and made their final home in Merrillan, WI. Suzie worked many jobs. She was an awesome cook and baker and loved growing flowers - especially her geraniums. She became an exquisite seamstress, as she made several wedding and bridesmaids dresses, not only for her daughters, but for others in the area. 

     Her family was blessed to have her in their lives even though Dementia took over her life for the past 15-plus years.

     Suzie is survived by her children, Terry Meinholdt of Two Rivers, Cathy Olds of Markesan, Barbra (Dan) Gilles of Eau Claire, Gary Meinholdt of Markesan, Theresa (Ron) Mahutga of Arcadia, Lynn (Lon) Abbott of Durand, Randy Meinholdt of Mosinee and Jeff (Amy) Meinholdt of McFarland; and by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; daughter-in-law, Joan; and her parents and siblings.

     A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 28, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the North Branch Humbird Rod & Gun Club, N2962 Main Street, Humbird, WI. A private burial will take place at the Mentor Cemetery in Humbird, WI.
