SYLVIA CLAUSE

     Sylvia Clause, 85, of Black River Falls, formerly of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI.

     She was born Oct. 31, 1939, to Theodore and Aretha (Dixon) Swanson. 

     Sylvia was united in marriage to Stanley Clause on March 2, 1963. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and famous for her Swedish Bread, Waldorf Salad, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chex Mix. She loved watching wildlife, especially cardinals.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Aretha Lucille and brother Ted. 

     Sylvia is survived by her husband, Stanley; children Valerie (George) Lass and Stanley Jr. (Lynn) Clause; grandchildren John Lass, Shauna Lass, Cassie (Brett) Shinkle, Brittney (Robert) Vlach and Maisie Gorski; great-grandchildren Heath, Garrett, Brycen, Blakley, Harper, Ashlyn, Mazie and Jackson; and her brother Jack.

     No services will be held at this time. 

     Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
